We are excited to announce our Summer 2025 class plans!

If you would like to join us for summer, please RSVP here. These classes are not drop-off, so please plan to stay with your child(ren). Cost per participating child is $160. This covers renting the Branch classrooms, paying our Spanish teacher, and supplies for our classes. We can accept cash, Zelle, or Venmo and will reach out to you with our payment info. Thank you!

Tuesdays, 10 am – 12 pm: Wilderness & Survival with Grandpa Phil!

Back by popular demand! Join us with Grandpa Phil (Janelle’s dad) as we meet at different local forest preserves to learn about Wilderness and Survival Skills! Grandpa Phil is a lifelong outdoorsman who has trained with CERT, FEMA’s Community Emergency Response Team. We will cover various topics – what to do in different survival situations, water filtration, how to find shelter, how to start a fire, and more. Pack a lunch for after class! Meets Tuesdays – June 3rd through July 29th, taking a break July 1st.

Thursdays, 10 am – 12 pm: Spanish Class & Art with Mrs. Traci

We will be having two Spanish classes and two Art classes – students will be divided by age. One group will do Spanish first / Art second, the other group the reverse. Meets Thursdays – June 5th through July 31st, taking a break July 3rd.

Spanish w/ Ms. Castillo – Ms. Castillo has her Masters in Education and is a native Spanish speaker. Her immersive class focuses on building vocabulary and learning to speak conversationally using games, music, and other creative techniques.

Artist Exploration & Projects – Mrs. Traci will continue her art study from last summer! Each week we will study a different artist and then do a fun project in the same style of art the artist used! After the 8-week class is complete, we will take a field trip to the Art Institute of Chicago to view the work of the artists in real life!
